North Carolina Tax Filings Due

Within thirty (30) days from the inception date in which a policy is procured, the licensee should electronically report every policy procured under his or her license to the North Carolina Surplus Lines Stamping Office through the Surplus Lines Information Portal (NC General Statute §58-21-35).

Quarterly or Annual Tax Reports+

  • North Carolina does not require quarterly or annual tax filing reports.
  • All filings should be entered directly in SLIP and your quarterly invoice is your report.

0 – Tax Reports+

  • North Carolina does not require a report for “0" tax filings.
  • If no filings are entered in SLIP, then no invoices will be generated at quarterly billings.

Purchasing Groups and Independent Procurement+

Purchasing Groups and Independent Procurement filings are to be filed directly with the North Carolina Department of Insurance – Property & Casualty Division.
