The North Carolina Surplus Lines Association, a regulatory support organization by statute, provides support to surplus lines licensees committed to the wholesale distribution system and the surplus lines industry. The association provides networking, regulatory, legislative and educational activities on behalf of its members.

The President’s Message

The North Carolina Surplus Lines Association Board of Directors is here to serve you, our Members, and others who may need our assistance. During 2012 and 2013 we will continue our commitment to get more members involved. Our Annual Convention in April was well attended and was highlighted by presentations by Lloyds, America, Appalachian State University, University of North Carolina Charlotte, East Carolina University, AAMGA and both the Deputy and Commissioner of Insurance. Our ongoing commitment and support of the three Universities in North Carolina that have Insurance and Risk Management Programs will continue through our scholarships, London trips and Insurance Jeopardy. Our mission is also to keep our Members informed of changes within the Excess and Surplus Lines segment of the insurance industry.
